It is the philosophy of Blue Ridge Metals to give back to the community. We support those organizations that assist our employees and the communities we live in. This support can best be seen by our participation in:
In 2002, BRM donated land along Hooper's Creek to the town of Fletcher, North Carolina for use as part of an extensive greenway beginning at the Fletcher Community Recreation Park. Blue Ridge Metals is committed to the preservation of the environment and the wellness of its employees. See more:
Each year, Blue Ridge Metals participates in a United Way drive. In 2007, the total donation to United Way was over $35,000. BRM and its employees take great pride in donating their time and money to the United Way and its agencies to help our community. In addition, our employees participate in the United Way Day of Caring. This day is used to help United Way agencies in Buncombe and Henderson Counties.
Blue Ridge Metals has also participated in Meals on Wheels, a local organization that delivers meals to the elderly in our community.
Each year, Blue Ridge Metals holds an on-site blood Drive.
We support local Colleges and Universities. A donation is given to help support leadership scholarships at UNC Asheville and financial support is also given to Blue Ridge Community College.
